Welcome to the wonderful but often misunderstood world of Roblox! Like any other gamer, I’ve spent countless hours in this platform playing games created by the people who shared their love for Roblox with me. I have always found it interesting how many different genres of games are represented. I have enjoyed racing games, fighting games, battle royale games, puzzle games, and so much more!
But what about the wacky wizard? I’m not talking about myself here, though I do play one in Roblox. This is a genre of game that you either love or hate because it can be brutally difficult and sometimes unforgiving. I am of course talking about what is now being called the “kill-everything” genre of Roblox with titles such as WackyWizard, Rage 3 SubZero, and Sorcerer’s Escape all being recent examples.
How to get the new ingredient in wacky wizards
At first glance, these games appear to be a simple concept. However, this simplicity is what I appreciate not only from the perspective of a player but also as a developer. In just about every room in Wacky Wizard Roblox, you will find one or more wands that have varying specialties and spells. You can use these wands to kill or vanquish all oncoming enemies that fly toward you and attempt to attack. So what’s the catch, right? The catch is that you have a very small mana pool and so running out of it results in your demise! This means you will need to strike a balance between killing enemies while also recharging your mana pool. In Wacky Wizard Roblox, this is accomplished by collecting orbs that appear after enemies are vanquished or inside of chests littered throughout the map.
What is Roblox’s policy on this genre of game?
One question that any gamer is going to have when exploring a new platform is “is this allowed?” I can say with full confidence that Wacky Wizard Roblox and games like it are fully allowed by the rules outlined in section three, subsection nineteen of the Roblox terms of use. Here is the actual text of that subsection:
“You may not use Roblox to post, transmit, display or otherwise make available content that is obscene, indecent, abusive, offensive, harassing, violent, hateful, inflammatory or otherwise objectionable.”
It’s pretty clear here what the focus of this sub-subsection is. While there have been a few games taken down from the platform due to being over-the-top or having a similar effect on players, I can’t say that titles of this genre have ever been an issue. As long as Roblox deems your game enjoyable and entertaining for its target audience, then you’re good to go!
How to Play Roblox
So you’re probably wondering how to get into this genre of game. The first thing you need is a developer console, which can be enabled by typing “devmode 1” into the command bar of your chosen game. Once that is done, open up Roblox Studio and try building yourself a wacky wizard! What’s that, you want something to get started with? Try checking out my profile and playing one of my many different types of wacky wizards. My most popular one by far is Wacky Wizard Roblox which has been played over five million times!
Playing with Friends on Roblox
Of course, the best way to really enjoy these games is with friends! You can find me and many other wacky wizards on different places of Roblox such as the wacky wizard fanclub by Foomanji. A great place to start for beginners would be WackyWizardZoneX which is a hub world where you can explore, collect wands, and play different maps made by the many wacky wizards that frequent it. And if you want to make your own game, there are plenty of tutorials out there for you too!
